AMWC is holding its 18th annual Water-Conserving Landscape Awards Contest


ATASCADERO —  Each year the Atascadero Mutual Water Company (AMWC), strives to recognize those who have made the effort to landscape their homes and/or businesses in an aesthetic manner that is compatible with our local environment and resources.
Nominated landscapes should be designed to conserve natural resources and composed of at least 80 percent water-conserving plants, and have irrigation appropriate for the type of landscape and be located within the AMWC service area, as well as use permeable hardscape and mulch and requite minimal watering.
Award categories include, but are not limited to: Professional Design and Install, Homeowner Design and Install, Turf Conversion, and Commercial Conversion/Install.

A panel of local, expert judges will evaluate the nominees, and the winners will be announced at the Atascadero Mutual Water Company Annual Shareholders Meeting on Wednesday, May  9, at 6:30 p.m.
