Annette L. Miller, 91, passed away surrounded by family on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2018. She was born in Holiday Cove, W.Va. She grew up and attended school in Fresno, Calif. After meeting her husband Claude at a sprint car race and they wed in 1944. After Claude accepted a job for Caltrans they transferred to San Luis Obispo in 1949. Ann worked for Sears, Cal Poly and lastly Sierra Vista Hospital where she worked her way to being the Personnel Director until retiring in 1986.
She was “Gong Gong” to her grandsons and all their friends. The one belief she lived by and passed on to us all is to “Always treat others as you want to be treated.”
She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Brown (Rick), grandsons: Ricky Brown and Robbie Brown, and many special friends. A special thank you to her angel caregiver, Tammi Davis for being so wonderful and loving her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claude whom she is now reunited with.
Private inurnment has been conducted.
A Life Celebration barbecue will be held Feb. 16, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the family home.
