Atascadero Chamber taking a look at diversity in the workplace on Sept. 12

ATASCADERO — Join the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce's Diversity Council as they dive into what diversity is, why it's vital and how it empowers the business community. 

Guest speaker, Justin Gomez, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Strategist from Cal Poly, will discuss the business case for cultural intelligence. 

Expected speakers include Maria Garcia, Paso Robles City Council Member and founder of the Hispanic Business Association, Mark Lisa, CEO of Tenet Health Central Coast and Rabbi Janice Mehring from Atascadero's Congregation Ohr Tzafon.

The guest speakers will guide participants as they explore the topics surrounding diversity within the business community and engage them with their refreshing breadth of perspectives.

This event is free to the public and will be located at the Holiday Inn Express in the Caladero Room at 9010 West Front Rd., Atascadero. It runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12.
