ATASCADERO - The first ever Atascadero citywide
yard sale will be on
April 14, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Yard sales will be held all over town and shoppers will use a digital map to travel from one to the next. Atascadero residents looking to do some spring cleaning and
sell off their clutter should sign up online at
www.parentsforjoy.org/events.html. The cost to register a
sale location is $15 per household; $40 per business or organization. This citywide
yard sale is a great opportunity to score some bargains on items residents want or need, and it’s also a form of recycling to keep usable items out of the landfill. It’s also a chance to get out and interact with friends and neighbors in the Atascadero community.
Proceeds from registration will benefit Parents for Joy for the upcoming construction of Joy Playground, which will be San Luis Obispo County’s only fully-accessible and inclusive playground option for children and adults of all abilities, who would not be able to use traditional playground structures. It is a million-dollar project scheduled to break ground May 1, and they are over three-quarters of the way to the fundraising goal. Support the cause and sign up to host a yard sale, or save the date to shop for treasures on April 14, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
