Betty (Kendig) Rougeot, age 94, of Paso Robles, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2017. Betty was born on November 25, 1922, in Atascadero, to Leon and Elizabeth Kendig.
When they were both in high school, Betty met Richard (Squid) Rougeot of Paso Robles during a dance at the Atascadero Lake. Married for nearly 50 years, they enjoyed a wonderful life together snow skiing, water skiing, traveling, dune buggying, deer hunting and years of dancing the night away.
Betty is survived by her son, Richard Rougeot of Paso Robles, daughter Sandra Aspegren (Drew) of Napa, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, twin brother, Robert Kendig and three sisters, Winifred Castle, Wilma Mendel, and Sally Dunkman.
Services will be private.
