ATASCADERO — A man collided with the center divider going southbound on Highway 101, on Thursday, Jan. 24 in Atascadero and was injured, according to California Highway Patrol.
John Mark Fuller, 67, of Chico, was driving his 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser when he drifted into the center divider approximately two miles from Santa Barbara Road.
Fuller was traveling at 65 mph and lost control of this vehicle after hitting the center divider. He careened across the southbound lanes and impacted on the asphalt berm that borders the right shoulder of those lanes. The impact called Fuller’s vehicle to roll over numerous times, eventually coming to rest on its roof.
Fuller sustained major injuries and was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital for treatment.
