Clayel Bragg, known to friends as “Don,” passed away on Feb. 12, 2019, at the age of 73 years.
A native of West Virginia, Don grew up in the Irish Mountain region of the Appalachians. At the age of 17, he volunteered to join the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Was honorably discharged and acquired the rank of Sergeant First Class.
In 1968, he started at Ennis Business Forms located in Paso Robles. He started at the position of Shipping Clerks Helper and worked his way up through the business to retire at the position of General Manager.
Once retired, he moved to his ranch back on the West Virginia Irish Mountain top where he lived for five years enjoying his life as a small rancher. He then moved back to California to be closer to family and friends.
Don is survived by his wife of 43 years Sandra Bragg, Son Clay Bragg, Step Son Scotty Strohn, Daughters Sherly Bragg and Jennifer Auvil, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one more expected.
A Celebration of Don’s life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., on Saturday, March 16, at the Lockwood Community Center, 65951 Jolon Rd., Lockwood, CA, 93932. All friends and family of Don’s are welcome.
