Deborah (Debbie) Kay Lang, 64, passed from this earthly place on Feb. 4, 2019.
She was born in Atascadero, Calif., and raised in Santa Margarita, Calif. In 1960, she moved to Atascadero, where she graduated from Atascadero High School in 1972.
Debbie recently retired from Atascadero State Hospital after 30 years of service as a Senior Psych Tech. She enjoyed trips to the casino, watching her grandchildren play their sports, crocheting, and collecting roosters.
She will be remembered for her devotion to family and friends. She was the life of the party and welcomed many into her home. Many will miss her smile as much as her sarcasm.
She is survived by her children: Angel Pecot-Kain of Atascadero, Billy Bales and wife Melanie of Atascadero and Reychel Pecot of Atascadero. Debbie had five grandchildren: Samantha, Shelby, Ian, Taylor and Tatum. She also had six great-grandchildren: Tristan, Kaden, Savannah, Saylor, Mayzee and Olivia. She is also survived by her brothers: Gary, Ron and Dale Estrada, Billy and Joe Rainwater, and sisters Patti Oliver and Judy Brown. She was preceded in death by her mother Agnes Rainwater and her brother John Rainwater.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Santa Margarita Cemetery. Following, there will be a celebration of life at the Atascadero Kiwanis Club located at the Atascadero Lake Park.
