Donald Charles Mazey, 83, of Paso Robles, died at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, May 19 at Danish Care Center in Atascadero. He was born Dec. 21, 1934 in Findlay, Ohio, to the late Charles and Susie Mazey. He married Phyllis Rosalie Mazey on May 18, 1956, who passed away Feb. 2, 2018. The couple was blessed with two daughters: Patricia Mazey who died on July 9, 1968, at eleven years old in Findlay, Ohio, and Sandi (Ralph) Holman of Paso Robles. Don also had a sister Doris (John) Studer, both deceased. No grandchildren. Growing up in Findlay, Don was an Eagle Scout. Don worked at a Cooper Tire and Rubber Company in Tire Testing and Fleet Manager. On his 60th birthday, he retired after 37 years. While in Findlay they attended the Upper Room Church of God and was active in the church in the choir and as the Sunday School Superintendent. In 1996 Don and Phyllis decided to move to California to be with their daughter Sandi and her husband Ralph. After moving to California they attended the Christian Life Center in Paso Robles. Services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Rancho Paso Senior Park on Theater Drive.
