El Camino Homeless Organization hires new executive director

ATASCADERO — The El Camino Homeless Organization, which operates the North County's only homeless shelter, recently hired Wendy Lewis as its new Executive Director.

Wendy comes from a 10-year career at the Food Bank Coalition of SLO County. Most recently Wendy held the position of Chief Operations Officer at the Food Bank Coalition. She played a key role in the successful growth at the food bank and helped guide them alongside former CEO Carl Hansen.

"I am thrilled to have been selected to lead such an amazing nonprofit organization with a 17-year history of helping feed and house the homeless," Lewis said. "After a very fulfilling career with the SLO County Food Bank I will now have the opportunity to work with another population that is close to my heart.
