SAN LUIS OBISPO — There is still time to register for Fall 2019 classes at Cuesta College – the semester begins Aug. 12 and runs through Dec. 13. Courses are offered on the San Luis Obispo (SLO) Campus, the North County Campus in Paso Robles, the South County Center in Arroyo Grande, and online.
Students can enroll in courses in the areas of agriculture, architecture, biology, business, computer information systems, engineering, English, film television and electronic media, geographic information systems, graphic design, mathematics, music, welding, and more.
The Hospitality Program is back at Cuesta College. The newly offered Hospitality Management Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T) degree prepares students for success in Hospitality Management with the lower-division coursework required to transfer into the CSU system. Once earning a bachelor's degree, students can expect to find entry-level management employment opportunities in the hospitality field, including restaurant, lodging, food service, gaming, and recreation industries.
The AS-T in Hospitality Management is the newest Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) available at Cuesta College. ADTs are specialized degrees offered at California Community Colleges that prepare students to transfer and guarantee admission to a campus within the California State University system. Cuesta College is recognized as one of the top community colleges in California for its innovative strategies to ensure the ADT is the preferred transfer pathway for students. With the addition of AS-T in Hospitality Management, Cuesta College offers 36 of the 40 available ADT pathways—the most out of any California community college.
