Gabriel Bain, AKA Ray Tabor, passed away on Aug. 26, 2019, in Atascadero. He was 69 years old.
Born March 15, 1950, in Reedley, Calif., Gabe spent his childhood in Morro Bay. He was a free spirit and loved to travel. He lived in Hawaii on the Big Island and Kauai and then later in life moved to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, which he fell in love with. When he wasn’t traveling his home was Atascadero.
He wanted to share his passion and knowledge with the world. Gabe was a published author. He wrote “Living Rainbows.” In addition to writing, he was an aura sight-reader and instructor and painted some beautiful paintings on his travels. Gabe also worked at Pflum’s Used Cars.
Gabe is survived by his sister Sandy Pflum and her partner, Randy Gilbert. Nieces: Yvonne Baughman and Kris Ast. Nephews: Rob, Steve and Bryan Mayfield. And loving cousins: Kathy, Marsha, Teri, Lisa, Donna and Barry. Gabe was preceded in death by his mother Faye Tabor, sister Connie Mayfield, and father Jack Tabor.
Gabe touched a lot of lives and will be greatly missed.
