Harlene Gallanger, 80, of Atascadero, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018. Harlene was born on Feb. 27, 1937 to Harlan and Gladys Ramage in San Luis Obispo.
Harlene worked for many years at the Atascadero Market before moving on to a career in banking.
Harlene loved music and taught herself to play the piano. Harlene loved cats; whether a stray or one she adopted from the local humane society, she gave them all a loving home.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Werner. She is survived by her daughters: Kelly Gallanger (Dave, fiance), of Indiana, daughter, Keri Akers of Atascadero, granddaughter, Sabrina Ayesh of Atascadero, grandaughter, Amanda Werner (Evan) of Atascadero, sister, Mikie Stock of Templeton, brother, Ken Ramage of Camano Island, Wash., a brother of San Luis Obispo, a sister of San Jose, many cousins and nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
