COUNTY — A project to resurface 24 miles of Highway 58 from six miles east of Santa Margarita near State Route 229 to the Navajo Creek Bridge resumed on Wednesday, May 1.
Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control from near the Junction with State Route 229 to east of Shooting Star Road Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Friday and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Delays should not exceed 15 minutes. Motorists will also encounter a striping operation next week during the daytime hours within the project limits.
The contractor for this $7 million project is Papich Construction of Arroyo Grande. This project is expected to be complete this September following a winter suspension due to storm activity.
