Margaret Landon departed from the presence of our Heavenly Father and came to earth to receive a mortal body on March 16, 1916. She was born in Ogden, Utah to Nellie Mae and Albert Schumann. She had three brothers and four sisters.
Margaret Landon departed this world and returned home to her Father in Heaven on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Vernon Roy Landon. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Jackie Landon of Provo, Utah and daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jim Gaskell of Atascadero, 13 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren.
As a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many callings. She was very independent and active and was still driving at age 97. She enjoyed gardening, floral arranging, playing golf, and was an avid reader. One of her hobbies was collecting antiques and she loved a good garage sale. Her favorite thing was being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors with them and was very creative in teaching them crafts and how nature works.
A memorial service will be held on December 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2600 Ramona Road, Atascadero, CA.
