‘Music of the Wild West’ set for May 6


Atascadero Enjoy familiar American Folk songs and “Music of the Wild West” at the Atascadero Community Band concert on Sunday, May 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. Concert will take place at the  Atascadero Bible Church, 6225 Atascadero Ave.  
Guest conductor Randy Schwalbe along with the Atascadero Community Band will paint an “Outdoor Portrait of the Music of the Wild West” with an afternoon of familiar American Folk songs and Western favorites such as: ‘Alabama Jubilee’, ‘Silverado’, ‘Sedona’, ‘The Great Locomotive Chase’ and ‘Northern Trails March.’
 Attendees are welcome to stop their feet, clap their hands and tip their hats to the music of this free concert. Band members will provide complimentary refreshments at intermission. Western dress is encouraged, but no spurs, please.
Donations this time will help support Atascadero Loaves and Fishes, a non-profit organization providing groceries and essential household items for clients in need from Atascadero, Templeton, Santa Margarita, Creston and California Valley. Atascadero Community Band will provide free outdoor concerts this summer near Atascadero Lake on Tuesday evenings--starting in mid-June.  For more information about ACB, see www.atascaderoband.org.
