Paloma Creek High School raise chicks

Paloma Creek High School science students just completed a unit on chickens.  The unit culminated with watching 19 chicks hatch. The chicks are still in the classroom and students are allowed to hold them in class. Farm Supply President and CEO Cara Crye (left) donated a trough to Paloma Creek High School for a science unit on chickens. Science Teacher Kerry Friend is on the right of the photo. Now that the 19 chicks are gone from the classroom, the trough will be used in the garden to grow pumpkins from seeds the students started. Pictured are students observing the chicks hatching in the incubator.
