Paso Robles man arrested for selling alcohol to minor at Templeton Chevron station

TEMPLETON — A Paso Robles man was arrested Friday after allegedly selling alcohol to an underage decoy at a Templeton Chevron station.

Some time between the hours of 5 and 10 p.m. Friday, Members of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Alcohol Compliance Team arrested Sarabjit Kaur, 44, of Paso Robles for selling alcohol to the decoy.

Kaur was released on a promise to appear citation and will be charged through the District Attorney’s Office for illegally selling alcohol to a minor, a misdemeanor.

The sheriff’s office will be forwarding the retailer violation case to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for consideration of administrative action against the ABC licensee.

The Alcohol Compliance Team also conducted decoy operations at several other retail locations in the county, all of which declined to sell alcohol to the minor decoy with the exception of a clerk at Bob & Jan’s Bottle Shop in Cambria.
