PASO ROBLES — Paso Robles Police Department officials reported a multi-casualty vehicle accident on Thursday, July 19 in Paso Robles. Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services responded to the report of the traffic collision that needed extrication at approximately 12:17 p.m.
Arriving firefighters found a single vehicle off the road and up an embankment of a home in a residential neighborhood. Dispatch was upgraded due to the number of patients found in the vehicle. A total of six people were found injured, which lead to the declaration of a Multi-Casualty Incident (MCI). Additional ambulances were called to transport patients. A total of three were transported to local hospitals.
Two fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded along with three ambulances from San Luis Ambulance and an ambulance supervisor. Paso Robles Police Department provided road closures and is actively investigating the cause of the accident.
