Raymond Henry Verreras, Sr.

Raymond Henry Verreras, Sr., formerly of Atascadero, passed away at his home on November 15 at the age of 80. Raymond served in the United States Navy and the Army Reserves. He was a supervisor maintenance mechanic for college dormitories for 30 years. He was involved with the Loyal Order of the Moose in Morro Bay. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing woodwork. He would build doll houses for his wife Patsy. He would make birdhouses and kids toys for Christmas.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patsy Verreras of Lemoore, four children: Raymond Verreras, Jr. of Atascadero, Brenda Shoemaker of Kingman, AZ, Steven Verreras of Lemoore and Kenneth Verreras of San Luis Obispo, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters: Shirley Arnold of MO and Jeanie Molanar of Atascadero, one brother: Richard Verreras of ID, two brother-in-laws: Danny Gregory of Grover Beach, and Bob Gregory.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Raymond on Saturday, January 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Meadow Park in Santa Margarita.
