ATASCADERO — The Atascadero Greyhounds girls volleyball team welcomed in the Conquistadors of Cabrillo to the gym on Tuesday, and played strong from start to finish. The Greyhounds won the match in straight sets with the games going (25-12), (25-10), (25-15).  Taylor Degnan led the Hounds offense with ten kills and Abby Wright added eight kills of her own to go along with three aces.  Kylee Degnan was setting up her teammates all evening long and finished the game 22 assists. The Greyhounds jumped out to an early lead and never took their foot off the gas pedal.

“I think we played really smooth and we came in off a tougher practice on Monday with a defense that is working well for us.” Head Coach Rachel Coons said of her team, “The girls knew that if we got too relaxed or overly confident that Cabrillo could sneak in and give us trouble.”

The Volleyball team is currently (3-1) and will play at home again on Tuesday when they take on Righetti in their home opening league match.
