Thrive Gymnastics qualifies seven gymnasts for regionals

THE NORTH COUNTY — Thrive Aviatrix Gymnastics team concluded its season with a “great showing” and some of their highest scores of the season at the State Gymnastics Championships in Sacramento California.  Level 9 Gymnasts Bella Winslow and all of the Level 6 Gymnastics Team will be advancing to Regional Gymnastics Championships, competing Region 1, one of the strongest regions in the country’s women’s gymnastics. It is comprised of Northern and Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah.
At the State Level, each gymnast needed to achieve an all-around score of 34.0 to qualify for Regional Gymnastics Championships.  These athletes far exceeded the qualifying score; a true testament to the dedication and passion these athletes have for this sport and a tribute to the incredible coaching at Thrive Aviatrix Gymnastics Training Center.
The State Competition was led by Level 9 gymnast, Bella Winslow, who topped the podium earning 2nd place on bars in her division.  She achieved high scores on all other events earning a score of 36.450 all around.  
In the Level 6 Jr. E division, Harper Burk earned second place on her floor routine with a score of 9.725 with an all around score of 36.52. Jayden Fielder took fourth place on vault with an all around score of 36.950.
In the Level 6 Sr. B and C division, Ever Krohn placed sixth on floor with a score of 9.350 and achieved an all around score of 36.00.  Berkeley Messer placed seventh on floor with a score of 9.250 and achieved an all around score of 35.550.
In the Level 6 Sr. G and H division, Erika Matthews, tied for third place on floor with a 9.40 achieving and all around score of 36.075.  Julie Jarboe placed fourth on floor with a 9.10 achieving an all around score of 35.550.
Kiana McCrea, will also qualify for Regionals. McCrea was unable to compete at the State level due to a minor injury. However, McCrea had a stellar season consistently achieving an overall score of 36.00. Her best overall score for the season was a 37.225. It’s no wonder they call her “Powerhouse McCrea”.

These girls train with some of the best coaches in the County. Raleigh Carter has been instructing and coaching gymnastics for over fifteen years.  He has traveled the country in order to learn from some of the best coaches in the industry.  Raleigh’s vision to train these athletes through intuitive learning progressions, with constant communication and motivation, ensures success with each gymnast.  
Growing up in the world of gymnastics, Amy Giacomini was a competitive gymnastics in the Bay Area. Amy has been with Thrive Aviatrix Gymnastics Training Center for over six years.  She truly enjoys empowering the athletes with continual positive words of encouragement, watching the team grow, and expand. Coaching at Thrive, has given Amy the opportunity to use her understanding and knowledge as a gymnast and to continually learn and grow as a coach within the gymnastics industry.
Cooper Bishop competed as a Level 10 gymnast, the highest level in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympics Program.  As a coach, Cooper is incredibly skilled and talented.  His passion and understanding for the sport enables him to teach and motivate in his role as a coach. He truly wants to see each gymnast reach their true potential.
