TUSD warns parents after child is assaulted in Templeton

Dr. Joe Koski, Superintendent of Templeton Unified School District issued a warning to parents this morning after a child was allegedly assaulted near her home in Templeton.

“I want to alert you to a report of a stranger danger situation that occurred over the weekend,” Koski wrote in the statement. “On Saturday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a student was playing near her home on the 1200 block of Bennett Way in Templeton when a man grabbed her from behind.  She screamed and the man put his hand over her mouth.  She elbowed him in the stomach and he let go of her.”

The description given by the child is a Hispanic male, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall with black hair, bushy eyebrows and black facial hair. He was wearing black and white clothing at the time of the incident.   

This is an ongoing investigation by the Sheriff's Office. TUSD asks that you report any further suspicious behavior directly to the Sheriff's Office by calling (805) 434-4290.
