The Estrella Warbird Museum and Templeton High School are proud to honor veterans, police, fire, and first responders with a National Anthem flyover for the school’s first home football game September 6 at 7:30 p.m. The four-ship flyover will include flight lead Scott Stelzle piloting a 1955 Navy T-34, right wing flown by Randy Wilber in a 1955 Navy T-28, and left wing flown by Jeff Quaid in a 1944 Navy SNJ. In trail, behind the formation will be Betsy’s Biscuit Bomber, a C-47 piloted by Shane Wallace.

The 1943 Douglas C-47, pilots, and flight crew that included Wallace and Stelzle, successfully completed a two-month world tour to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion. The American fleet of vintage C–47s crossed the Atlantic and joined other C–47s from around the world for the Daks Over Normandy event, crossing of the English Channel into France, June 2-8.
