ATASCADERO — Woods Humane Society is extending a heartwarming invitation to animal lovers with its “Fall in Love” half-off adoption promotion, running until Sunday, September 17. This initiative aims to make pet adoption more accessible and affordable, encouraging families to open their hearts and homes to pets in need.

During the promotion, all dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are available for adoption at half the regular fee. Typically ranging from $65 for senior cats to $200 for puppies, adoption fees have been reduced significantly to facilitate more adoptions.

Woods Humane Society CEO, Emily L’Heureux, underscores the importance of this campaign, saying, “As the back-to-school and work routines pick up in September, shelters often witness a decline in adoptions. However, the number of homeless pets in need remains constant. Kitten season is still in full swing in SLO County, and our shelter partners across the state are grappling with heart-wrenching overcrowding in their dog kennels. We hope this promotion will inspire families to consider welcoming a pet into their homes and contribute to our ongoing efforts to provide lifesaving care to animals in need.”
