ATASCADERO — The Atascadero Elks Lodge is holding their Soccer Shoot on Saturday, Oct. 15, after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. It will be at Paloma Creek Park in Atascadero from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free event is to offer a youth program that allows children to demonstrate their skills and to compete against others in their age group.
Available age brackets for kids to participate are 7 and under (U-8) — Five Goal Contest, 8—9 (U-10) — Grid Goal Contest, 10—11 (U-12) — Grid Goal Contest, and 12—13 (U-14) — Grid Goal Contest. The Five Goal Contest is designed for children under 8 years old and the Grid Goal Contest is for participants between 8 and 13 years old. Age is determined by the contestant’s age as of Jan. 1 of the year the contest is held.
