Fun crafts, science projects and games will be available countywide at SESLOC branches

The San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum will close to the public while local schools are in recess in response to COVID-19 concerns. The closure will begin March 16, 2020 and is anticipated to last through at least March 31st.

Museum memberships will be frozen during this time.

With many families looking for ways to stay active and engaged during this period, the Children’s Museum has launched an at-home, drive-thru program called Busy Box, in partnership with Best of North SLO County bank SESLOC Federal Credit Union. Visit https://www.slocm.org/busybox for games, activities and online resources.

Within the next week, the Children’s Museum will be hosting a drive-thru along Monterey Street, where families with children can pick up a free Busy Box. Each box is filled with fun crafts, science projects and games with instructions to match. Busy Boxes will also be available countywide at SESLOC branches.
