Ancient Peaks Winery hosts 4th annual ‘Walk for Cancer’ on Oct. 26

SANTA MARGARITA — Ancient Peaks Winery invites the community to participate in the 4th annual “Walk for Cancer” on Sunday, Oct. 26, a two-mile vineyard walk at Santa Margarita Ranch supporting Cancer Support Community Central Coast. The stroll concludes with food trucks, a live DJ, and a complimentary glass of wine for participants 21 and older.

Walkers can join individually or form teams, with prizes awarded for the highest fundraising individuals and teams as well as the most spirited team. Participants are encouraged to wear pink attire to show solidarity in the fight against cancer.

The walk begins at 10 a.m. at the Ancient Peaks Barn at Margarita Vineyard, with registration opening at 9 a.m. Registration costs $25 per person, $10 for youth ages 12–20, and is free for kids under 12. Guests may also sponsor walkers.

“When they say, ‘Enjoy each day,’ it is very true — no one knows that better than a cancer survivor,” said Ancient Peaks Winery partner Cindy Wittstrom, a cancer survivor herself who notes that several people in the Ancient Peaks family have been affected by cancer. “And that’s what we’re going to do: get outside together, soak up the natural beauty and enjoy the moment.”

Participants are advised to wear light hiking shoes, layers, and pink attire for the occasion. For more information, visit ancientpeaks.com/events/breast-cancer-awareness-vineyard-walk/
