ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero and the Central Coast Zoo are seeking local coffee vendors to participate in a new pilot vending program at Atascadero Lake Park.
The program will run Sept. 1 through the end of the year, with vendors operating seven days a week from 7 to 11 a.m. The opportunity is designed to provide coffee options for zoo visitors and parkgoers, which are currently unavailable at the park.
City officials said the pilot program will help enhance the visitor experience, with the potential to expand the program if successful.
Participating vendors must meet several requirements, including:
Commit to dates within the requested program timeframe.
Provide a small, quiet generator, as electricity is not available at the site.
Pay 9% of coffee sales to the City.
Carry $1 million in general liability insurance naming the City of Atascadero as an additional insured.
Maintain a current City of Atascadero business license and valid Health Department permit.
Interested vendors must submit an application by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, to the Colony Park Community Center, c/o Event Organizer, at 5599 Traffic Way in Atascadero.
