Atascadero Fall Festival returns November 14–16 with Colony Days Parade

ATASCADERO — The fifth annual Atascadero Fall Festival will take place Friday, Nov. 14 through Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Sunken Gardens, featuring free admission, family-friendly fun, live music, carnival rides, and over 60 food and merchant vendors.

The festival opens Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. with Country Night, featuring Jayden Secor, Stephen Styles Band, The Mother Corn Shuckers, and headliner Los Hermanos Mendoza, a first-generation Mexican-American country band blending the Bakersfield Sound with Mexican musical roots. Line dance instruction will be provided by Vanessa Robertson.

Saturday, Nov. 15, begins with the Colony Days Parade at 10 a.m., now integrated into Fall Fest weekend. Following the parade, the festival opens at 12 p.m., kicking off with an 80s & 90s Dance Party on the Visit Atascadero Main Stage featuring Ultra, Way Out West, Club DV8, and the 90s Babiez, with DJ sets by Traffic Records throughout the day. Reggae Night caps Saturday with True Zion and Grammy-nominated reggae legend Pato Banton, performing a free, family-friendly concert.

Sunday features Fiesta Sunday with Flor de Luna Folklorico dancers, Norteño bands La Nave Especial and Equipo Elite, and concludes with the Funk ‘n’ Rock the Block Party, showcasing Wordsauce, False Puppet, and Carbon City Lights.

The festival’s Carnival offers rides and games for all ages, including the Century Ferris Wheel, Zipper, bumper cars, carousel, Super Slide, Extreme, Kamikaze, Pharaohs Fury, and more. All-You-Can-Ride wristbands ($38 presale) are available online until Thursday, Nov. 13 at 10 p.m., with additional wristbands and credits available at the festival and select local businesses.

For adults 21 and over, the Suds at Sunken Gardens Beer & Wine Festival on Saturday, 12 to 3:30 p.m., features 12+ breweries, ciders, and wineries. Tickets are $35 presale.

A free shuttle returns Saturday for festival guests, accommodating chairs, blankets, strollers, and more.
