Atascadero launches Orange & Grey Fridays for home football games

ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero and Atascadero High School are partnering with local restaurants and drinking establishments to launch “Orange & Grey Fridays,” offering discounts to Greyhound fans before home football games.

The promotion begins with Atascadero High School’s first home game Thursday, Aug. 20. Community members who wear orange and grey team colors can receive 10% off at participating businesses.

Participating restaurants offering 10% off food items, excluding beverages, include A-Town Diner, Barley & Boar, Cielo Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, Guest House Grill, Street Side Ale House, Colony Sandwich Company and Wild Fields Brewhouse.

Participating businesses offering 10% off beverages include A-Town Chop Shop, Decades Lounge, Kula Hawaiian Kitchen & Winery and Wild Fields Brewing.

The promotion will be available before, during or after the following home games: Aug. 20, Aug. 28, Sept. 25, Oct. 16 and Oct. 30. The Aug. 20 game is the only Thursday home game.

Organizers encourage families and students to visit downtown before games, where parking is available within walking distance of downtown and the high school football field. Fans can then use the high school tunnel across from Sunken Gardens to access the game.
