Atascadero opens registration for fall adult basketball and kickball leagues

ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero Recreation Department has opened registration for its fall adult sports leagues, including coed basketball and kickball programs set to begin in August.

The Fall Adult Basketball League will run Sundays from Aug. 23 through Oct. 18 at the Colony Park Community Center Gym, with no games scheduled Sept. 6. The season includes seven regular-season games, with each team guaranteed at least one playoff game in a tournament scheduled for Oct. 17–18.

Teams must register as coed squads with a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 18. A team manager meeting is planned for the week of Aug. 18 at Colony Park Community Center, with exact details to be announced.

Games for the Fall Adult Kickball League will take place Wednesday evenings at the Paloma Creek Softball Fields from Aug. 26 through Oct. 14, spanning eight weeks of play. Each game will last seven innings or one hour, whichever comes first.

Kickball teams are also coed and must register as full teams, with a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 18. A manager meeting is scheduled for the week of Aug. 19 at Paloma Creek Softball Fields.

Registration for both leagues closes Aug. 7.
