Atascadero Pride in the Park marks 5th Year with June 14 Celebration

ATASCADERO — We Are Atascadero Pride will celebrate the fifth anniversary of Atascadero Pride in the Park on Sunday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Atascadero Lake Park.

This year’s theme, “Everyone Is Welcome,” highlights the event’s mission of creating an inclusive, affirming space for LGBTQ+ community members, families, friends, and allies from across the Central Coast. The free, family-friendly celebration focuses on connection, visibility, and belonging.

Event highlights include live music and dancing, food vendors and a beer garden, artisan booths, community resources, creative activities, and shaded picnic areas for all ages. Organizers say the lakeside setting provides a welcoming backdrop to showcase the community’s diversity and creativity.

“We Are Atascadero Pride is about creating a space where everyone feels welcome,” said founder and spokesperson Thom Waldman. “This event is rooted in joy, visibility, and community — and we invite everyone to come be part of it.”
