Atascadero Winter Youth Basketball registration now open

ATASCADERO — Registration is open for the City of Atascadero’s Winter Youth Basketball program, offering recreational basketball for children in kindergarten through 12th grade at all skill levels.

The program emphasizes individual skill development, teamwork, positive attitudes and fun in a non-competitive setting.

All registered players must attend one skills clinic and assessment. Clinics will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, or Saturday, Oct. 24, from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Players may drop in at any time during the clinic, with individual assessments expected to take approximately 20 to 45 minutes.

Practices will begin the week of Nov. 30, with Saturday games scheduled from Jan. 9 through March 6, 2027.

Registration costs $121 for Atascadero residents and $132 for non-residents. Registration closes Oct. 21.

The Recreation Department is also seeking volunteer coaches and program sponsors.
