Los Osos man arrested on sexual assault of a minor

LOS OSOS — San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested 22-year-old Wayland Stronglee of Los Osos on July 16 in connection with a sexual assault investigation.

Stronglee was taken into custody without incident after detectives served a search warrant in the 2100 block of Fresno Street. He was booked into jail on charges of rape by force and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

Investigators determined that Stronglee met the victim through social media prior to the assault.
