Mid State Cruizers donate $13,000 to local charities from annual car show

ATASCADERO — The Mid State Cruizers distributed $13,000 in donations to 10 local charities during their meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Round Table Pizza in Atascadero. The funds come from profits earned at the 34th Annual Lake Park Car Show, held Aug. 16, in Atascadero.

“This year we were fortunate enough to give $1,300 each to 10 local charities,” said Mid State Cruizers President Roy Barba.

Charities were nominated in September, with the top 10 selected through voting in October. All recipients attended the meeting and shared presentations about their organizations and how the donations will be used.

The 10 charities receiving funds this year are:

• Honor Flight Central Coast
• Atascadero High School Automotive Technology
• Jack's Helping Hand
• SLO Dream Makers
• Central Coast Veterans Helping Veterans
• Boxes for Soldiers
• Woods Humane Society
• SabesWings
• Shandon Girls and Boys Club
• Atascadero Robotics (Greybots)

The Mid State Cruizers’ 35th Annual Lake Park Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, as part of Atascadero Cruisin’ Weekend. For more information, visit midstatecruizers.org
