San Luis Obispo County deputies arrest suspect after shots reported

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — The Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Miguel Andy Martinez of Santa Maria after reports of shots fired in the 400 block of Indian Knob Road early Sunday morning, Sept. 28, at approximately 12:22 a.m.

Deputies located a vehicle matching the report and detained the uncooperative driver. A firearm was recovered from the vehicle, along with spent shell casings at the scene. No injuries were reported.

Martinez was booked on charges of resisting or delaying a peace officer, carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, and carrying a loaded firearm in public. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities say there is no continuing threat to the public.
