Spooky season returns to Central Coast Zoo Atascadero this weekend with Zoo Boo

ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero and Central Coast Zoo Atascadero invite families to celebrate fall with a series of festive, family-friendly events.

Zoo Boo kicks off the fun Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Guests can explore a lightly spooky haunted maze, play carnival-style games, enjoy DJ entertainment, and participate in costume contests for kids and families. Tickets are $16 per person ($15 for Zoo members); children 2 and under are free.

On Sunday, October 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Pumpkin Smash lets visitors watch animals enjoy seasonal pumpkin treats in a fun enrichment activity included with regular Zoo admission.

The celebrations continue with Día de los Muertos on Saturday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests can learn about the holiday’s cultural and natural significance, enjoy themed crafts, live music with DJ Rama, and sample local food. This event is included with regular admission.

The Central Coast Zoo Atascadero is home to red pandas, monkeys, meerkats, parrots, reptiles, and more, offering educational and entertaining experiences for all ages.
