Street Closures Announced for Downtown Atascadero ECR Ribbon Cutting & Block Party

ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero is set to celebrate the completion of its El Camino Real Downtown Safety and Parking Enhancement Project with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Downtown Block Party on Friday, June 27, from 5 to 9 p.m.

To accommodate the festivities, several downtown streets will close beginning at 3:30 p.m. with hard closures in place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.:

• El Camino Real (East Mall to Traffic Way)
• West Mall (Palma Ave to El Camino Real)
• Entrada (Palma Ave to El Camino Real)
• The Alley (between Entrada and West Mall)

A detour will reroute El Camino Real traffic via Traffic Way or East Mall to Lewis Avenue/Capistrano.

SLO Safe Ride will offer complimentary hotel shuttle service to and from the Downtown from 4 to 8 p.m., with pickups every 45 minutes from four local hotels. A Saturday shuttle will also be available for the Tin City Block Party in Templeton.
