Woods Humane Society offers Feline Black Friday

ATASCADERO — Woods Humane Society is celebrating Black Friday a little early this year with its Feline Black Friday promotion, waiving adoption fees for cats and kittens from Friday, Nov. 21, through Tuesday, Nov. 25.

“We hope this event will increase awareness about cats in need, reduce barriers to adoption, and help our feline friends find their families in advance of the holiday season,” says Woods CEO Emily L’Heureux.

Typically, adoption fees for cats and kittens range from $65 to $150. Woods currently has 34 cats available for adoption across its Atascadero and San Luis Obispo shelters, including five kittens, with more arriving daily. The promotion also helps the North County shelter make necessary repairs over the Thanksgiving holiday by encouraging adoptions before renovations begin.
