Atascadero Library announces full slate of June programs for all ages

The Atascadero Library is offering a wide range of free children’s, teen, and adult programs throughout June 2026, including storytimes, summer reading events, hands-on workshops, and community resources.

Located at 6555 Capistrano Ave., the library will host weekly children’s programming, such as Bilingual Storytime every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and outdoor Storytime at Sunken Gardens on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., where families are encouraged to bring blankets and snacks.

Special events include a Summer Reading Kick-Off Party on Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring crafts, snacks, and activities for all ages. Children can also participate in Paws to Read, where they read to therapy dogs on June 4 and June 18 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Additional youth programming includes Reptile Ron on June 25 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., offering live animal education, and LEGO Club on June 27 at 2 p.m. for children ages 5–12, with registration required.

Adult programming includes weekly TMHA Library Outreach sessions on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 2 p.m., offering connections to healthcare, housing, food, mental health, and other services.

The library will also host the Between the Lines Book Group discussion of "Circe" by Madeline Miller on June 20 at 10:30 a.m., along with Memory Lab orientations on June 13 and June 23 for residents interested in digitizing personal media collections such as VHS tapes, photos, and film.

A Floral Wine Glass Painting class will be held June 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. for adults and teens, featuring decorative enamel painting techniques. Several adult programs require advance registration.
