ATASCADERO — The Atascadero Police Department will host a Coffee with a Cop event from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, on the front steps of Historic Atascadero City Hall, 6500 Palma Ave.

The free community event is part of National Coffee with a Cop Day, held annually on the first Wednesday of October. The program began in 2011 and provides an opportunity for community members to meet local law enforcement officers, ask questions and connect with officers outside of a formal law enforcement setting.

The event is sponsored by Malibu Brew Coffee.
