ATASCADERO — The City of Atascadero Community Development Department will host its next “Coffee with a Planner” community discussion on Thursday, May 21, at 9 a.m. at Malibu Brew Coffee.
The monthly series, held on the third Thursday of each month, gives residents an opportunity to meet informally with city planning staff to discuss topics related to land use, zoning, city policy, and development projects.
This month’s session will focus on Accessory Dwelling Units, commonly known as ADUs, and Senate Bill 9. Staff will discuss where ADUs are allowed and explain the approval process for potential projects.
City officials said the gatherings are intended to encourage open dialogue and provide residents with an accessible setting to ask questions, share ideas, and learn more about planning issues affecting the community.
Residents are encouraged to attend and support the local coffee shop by purchasing a beverage during the event.
