Kelsey Wickwire brings ‘Flower Fields’ exhibition to Atascadero’s Fieldwork

ATASCADERO — Fieldwork will host Montana artist Kelsey Wickwire for a special artist reception celebrating her solo exhibition, Flower Fields, on Friday, Aug. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The free event will feature Wickwire’s newest collection of original artwork, along with live music by Josh Ottum and Alex Nash. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and view her botanical-inspired paintings that explore themes of memory, landscape and the connection between people and place.

Originally from California and now based in Montana, Wickwire creates richly layered works featuring vibrant colors, dreamlike compositions and natural imagery.

“I've believed in Kelsey's work for a long time,” said Amy Beams. “She worked with me years ago in Seal Beach, and I've continued sharing her work through Golden State Goods ever since. Watching her grow as an artist and now dedicating an exhibition to her at Fieldwork feels like a full-circle moment.”

The Flower Fields exhibition and artist reception will be held at Fieldwork, located at 5880 Entrada Ave. in Atascadero. Admission is free.

Fieldwork is an artist-led creative event space in downtown Atascadero hosted by Arthur Mount, Allie Mount and Amy Beams. The space aims to support the community through creative arts programming.
