ATASCADERO — The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce and Atascadero Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) have announced the 2026 Women of Influence North County honorees: Diane Cassidy, Alexandra Chamberlain and Dawn Smith.
Now in its sixth year, Women of Influence North County, or wINC, recognizes women whose leadership, service and accomplishments are making an impact throughout North County.

Cassidy, a Realtor with RE/MAX Success, is being recognized for her community leadership and efforts to bring Royal Family Kids Camp to North County. Drawing from her own experience with foster care, Cassidy spent seven years building community support for the free summer camp serving children in foster care.
Chamberlain, executive director of Tolosa Children’s Dental Center, has more than 15 years of nonprofit experience and has worked to expand access to oral health care for underserved children. She has helped secure funding, develop community partnerships and expand programs serving children throughout San Luis Obispo County.
Smith, CEO of Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County, is being recognized for her work supporting affordable housing. Through her development leadership, Smith has helped raise nearly $1 million for Habitat’s Home Preservation Program, which provides critical home repairs for local seniors, veterans and families.
“These women demonstrate that influence is about more than professional achievement. It is about using your talents, relationships, and leadership to improve the lives of others,” said Josh Cross, President and CEO of the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce. “We invite our entire community to join us in celebrating Diane, Alexandra, and Dawn and the extraordinary impact they are making throughout North County.”
The honorees will be celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 29, at SpringHill Suites Atascadero. The new wINC Leadership & Impact Summit will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m., followed by the annual wINC Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Proceeds benefit AAUW Tech Trek and scholarships for graduating Atascadero High School girls pursuing entrepreneurial and higher education goals.
