The San Luis Obispo Tribune reported Thursday afternoon that the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department has confirmed that it is screening a patient for COVID-19, popularly known as the coronavirus.

The Paso Robles Press reached out to the Public Health Department to confirm the information, but a representative told us that they could not confirm or deny the report. Paso Robles Press Reporter Mark Diaz is in contact with health department officials and will update this story with more information once the reports have been confirmed. Patient was tested, and a negative test was confirmed.
