Attached to a photo sent to us, Dennis Howland said he took the shot Monday while returning from a family reunion in Las Vegas and included the following:

As they were driving along the Lerdo Highway out of Bakersfield and I could not believe the magnificent scene I saw of the snow covered Temblor Mountains just West of McKittrick.

Mostly all you see around these parts is rattle snakes and oil wells but this was really an awesome sight. Snow capped mountains with the dark clouds hanging over.
