ATASCADERO — Atascadero Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Emily Reneau announced via the Chamber’s August update on Thursday that she will be stepping down within the month. Reneau took over as CEO on April 23, 2019, and will step into a new role with the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance.

Reneau’s update is posted below.

“Friends, OUR community is truly incredible. Throughout the success and recent challenges, our community has banded together to support one another, residents, and our Chamber. The Atascadero Chamber would not be where it is today without the support of such a phenomenal community. Even now, during this difficult time, projects like the El Camino Real Downtown Infrastructure Enhancement Project, the Equality Mural Project, the La Plaza project, and more are kicking off to continue to improve our community. I am confident that this positive progress and impact made by local business owners and leaders in Atascadero will only continue to grow.

“It has been an honor working as the Chamber CEO and serving our members. Memories and relationships that I have made here will be something I will always treasure. As some of you may have already heard, within the month, I will be stepping down as CEO for the Chamber and moving into a new role with the Paso Robles Wine Alliance. Having first started my career at the Paso Robles Vintners and Growers Association, which has now evolved into the PRWCA, I am excited to go back to my roots. Despite my new role, you can count on the fact that I will remain a loyal advocate for the fantastic and hardworking business owners and leaders in our community.

“I want to give a special thank you to the Atascadero Chamber Board for the opportunity they gave me to lead this organization. The Chamber Board is comprised of some talented and creative individuals who work passionately and tirelessly for the businesses in our community. When I had first notified Tom Jones, the 2020 Chair of the Atascadero Chamber Board, of my departure, I will never forget his kind words. “You’ve led through unprecedented times and have given tirelessly to supporting businesses in our community. The rest of the Atascadero Chamber Board and I are grateful that we had you as our CEO, and I look forward to future partnerships with you in your new role,” said Jones.
