ATASCADERO — After 10 years in the Adobe Plaza, San Luis Sports Therapy is moving its physical therapy services to 6907 El Camino Real Suite D. It will begin seeing patients in the new location starting Monday, Oct. 5. 

The clinic is in the same building as the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce and Wild Fields Brewhouse, across the parking lot from the Galaxy Theatres. The clinic can be easily accessed via Lewis or Capistrano avenues, and the entrance is visible from the Atascadero Transit Center. 

The new clinic space boasts private treatment rooms and a large open space for performing therapeutic exercises and activities. Clinic Director Richard Goldbach and his team have been providing physical therapy services to the Atascadero community for over 20 years. They are excited for the opportunity to continue to help patients restore function and optimize movement to maximize quality of life.

Aside from being employee-owned, the clinic is also home to the only Orthopedic Board Certified Specialist (OCS) in Atascadero, which less than 17% of physical therapists in the U.S. currently have. Ask your physician for a referral to San Luis Sports Therapy. They accept most major insurances, including Medicare and Workers Compensation, and offer reasonable cash rates. The state allows individuals to seek care directly from a physical therapist without a doctor referral for a period of 45 days or 12 visits, whichever comes first.

Some insurance companies do continue to require a medical doctor’s referral to reimburse for physical therapy services. San Luis Sports Therapy front office teams can help patients navigate this to get timely care.
