At 11:25 p.m., an unexpected outage occurred for PG&E customers between downtown Atascadero and downtown Templeton on Friday night.

The cause of the service interruption was not immediately known.

PG&E technicians were dispatched to the scene for inspection and repairs. Initial expectation for restoration of service was given by PG&E of 5:45 a.m. Saturday.

Update: Power was restored at 1256 a.m. to some residents.
